Getting the Feeds

Hiya
Just found this forum and am interested to start viewing, but every single feed i am trying on my Humax 2000 comes up with no channels.
Are these feeds generally only on for a certain time or am i doing something wrong ?
Most feeds seem to have the frequency an dthen a 4 digit number which i assume is the Symbol Rate ? Very few mention the FEC
Am i correct with that or am i miss understanding ?
I am in Bracknell, Berkshire and have an 80cm motorized system
Thx
Paul

Hi paul welcome,
You have to be quick to find a feed. Sometimes it only thakes a few minutes.
There are some regular feed frequenties like on 10 E the UP channel.(10969 V 4167)
The symbol rate for feeds is mostly low (<10000) and the fec is normaly (when you do a blindsearch) automatic. (that is why not much mention)
Greetings, Ron
